The referee ignored Mestre GG's protests and gave João Francisco Mota a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Mota. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilian Fonseca got free with Xande Kahn in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Angelo Osasun notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mestre GG's Enio Pinho. Enio Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Osasun, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Tepedino in the 42nd minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Enio Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Memphis Xande's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Memphis Xande helped the player get up and apologised. Memphis Xande kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Amadeu Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernani Lira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Christian de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Wilian Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Xande Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mestre GG's Enio Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Tepedino in the 62nd minute of play. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Gol was substituted for Memphis Xande. 67 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Sjödin came free, but Enio Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led New Joinville - FSCMZ's Angelo Osasun to fire away a dangerous shot which Enio Pinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mestre GG's Enio Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Sjödin in the 71st minute of play. Xande Gol hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Angelo Osasun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 78 minutes into the match, Angelo Osasun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enio Pinho. Mestre GG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Osasun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Lucas Sjödin managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Joinville - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Sjödin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enio Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Leopoldo Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mestre GG's protests and gave Leopoldo Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Barbosa. With a little luck, Mestre GG's Enio Pinho got control of the ball when Xande Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Xande Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
