America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Paes in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Paes in the 14th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Zé Pedro de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Siqueira in the 15th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Dorian Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Paes's late challenge caught a America Futebol Clube SP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Madureira came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by America Futebol Clube SP's Dorian Siqueira. But to his dismay, Dorian Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilton Sanches to make the kick off. Dorian Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save E.C 2 Janeiro RS from getting a goal against them. Zé Pedro de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Paes went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Raphael de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Telmo Madureira was a little too slow when Nilton Sanches got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 3-3.
