In the 4th match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Rezende to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Albertinho Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KIRICOCHO FC the free kick. In the 6th minute, one of E.C 2 Janeiro RS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for E.C 2 Janeiro RS. Haroldo Sanches's late challenge caught a KIRICOCHO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Haroldo Sanches got a free kick in the 13th minute. Juan Bartoleme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Telmo Madureira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Feliciano Christobal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robustiano Azibar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válter de Sousa went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Haroldo Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robustiano Azibar. KIRICOCHO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Raphael de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C 2 Janeiro RS's protests and gave Raphael de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Bartoleme struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Telmo Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KIRICOCHO FC. After a rather tough play, KIRICOCHO FC's Lucas Isusko got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Fellipe Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robustiano Azibar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in E.C 2 Janeiro RS reached it. 35 minutes into the match, Juan Bartoleme notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliciano Christobal in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of KIRICOCHO FC booed when E.C 2 Janeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Bartoleme to make the kick off. Juan Bartoleme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraldo Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geraldo Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Geraldo Eger got a free kick in the 55th minute. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Christobal in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Juan Bartoleme managed to get in a good position for a shot. KIRICOCHO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Bartoleme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliciano Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Madureira having to interfere. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
