After 7 minutes, Tião Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS and the DIPLOMATA FC PAB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Tião Marinho got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 11th match minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Varela to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Marinho in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Sousa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dito Araújo, 1-0. After 20 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Varela. After a defensive mix-up in DIPLOMATA FC PAB's zone, Rafinha Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Sergipano came out of the goal and Rafinha Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Paiva took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedrinho Sergipano. Pedrinho Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Guto Arósio's late challenge caught a ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Guto Arósio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Paulo Correia during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Correia to maneuver through the defense. When Marquinhos Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the DIPLOMATA FC PAB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquinhos Sousa couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei Passos was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Claudinei Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dito Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Marinho in the 60th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Pedrinho Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Enrique Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedrinho Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Sousa. Tião Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Sergipano having to interfere. Edmílson de Souzas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Pedrinho Sergipano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Celsinho Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Marquinhos Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIPLOMATA FC PAB's protests and gave Marquinhos Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Pedrinho Sergipano was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rafinha Breckenfeld. Pedrinho Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Marinho in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano got control of the ball when Enrique Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marquinhos Sousa hit a great ball. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Tião Marinho scored to the left of an out of position Pedrinho Sergipano, making the score, 1-2. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
