Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gentil Vasques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perivaldo Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Octávio Moita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ. Cacá Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Reis in the 32nd minute of the match. Cacá Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Calado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 41st minute, Adhemar Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deivid Moreira made a kick off. Danilo Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Octávio Moita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Figueiredo in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play SC Braga's Danilo Reis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Danilo Reis hit a great ball. Octávio Moita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, André Vides notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of SC Braga's Octávio Moita. Octávio Moita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Calado came free, but Cacá Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Braga for a fine match.
