Red John S.K's Jean Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Quintal in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio de Lima came free, but Enio Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enio Pinho made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Hudson dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. Enio Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Inácio de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mestre GG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enio Pinho should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Hernani Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mestre GG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red John S.K the free kick. With a little luck, Mestre GG's Enio Pinho got control of the ball when Hudson dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hudson dos Santos got free with Enio Pinho in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luís Lima made a kick off. Enio Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson dos Santos in the 55th minute of play. Enio Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Léo Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Red John S.K made a substitution. Jaime Dionísio replaced Dalmo Passos.
