The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evandro Maia. Evandro Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Antônio Carlos Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Nada Pontual F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos Paiva couldn't finish the play. Evandro Maia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adhemar Pinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Antônio Carlos Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. With a little luck, Nada Pontual F.C's Evandro Maia got control of the ball when Adhemar Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Adhemar Pinho put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Evandro Maia. After 29 minutes, Alan Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nada Pontual F.C and the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Furtado hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Eliseu Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseu Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliseu Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nada Pontual F.C's Evandro Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Nada Pontual F.C from getting a goal against them. With his leg Evandro Maia managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the game, Thiago Couto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nada Pontual F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Thiago Couto got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 36 played minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Cearense. The supporters of Nada Pontual F.C booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rubinho Prata hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antônio Carlos Paiva made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Paiva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cacá Sousa, 3-1. In the 58thth minute of the game Deivid Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nada Pontual F.C's Evandro Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evandro Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Antônio Carlos Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Carlos Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Paiva hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Humberto Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evandro Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 78 minutes into the match, Adhemar Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evandro Maia. Nada Pontual F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adhemar Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Evandro Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Figueiredo in the 81st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Adhemar Pinho sped through Nada Pontual F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evandro Maia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Figueiredo in the 87th minute of play forced Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Evandro Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Nada Pontual F.C got a freekick which was hit by Edu Meira. Evandro Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Moreira in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
