Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulisses Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th match minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Batista to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Dionisio Monico in the 17th minute of play was well struck, but Sílvio Luiz das Neves made a really good save at the right post. 21 minutes into the game, Jonatan Felipo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Litoral EC - CIMZ the free kick. Jonatan Felipo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Eriberto Cerezo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basilio Justin. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Eriberto Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gaston Joanes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bernardo Ranolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Ranolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Basilio Justin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Vander in the 36th minute of the match. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Sílvio Luiz das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Felipo in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Eriberto Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Litoral EC - CIMZ were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardinho Vander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play Club Atlético Atlanta's Jonatan Felipo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 52 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Felipo. Joaquin Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Ulisses Munhoz could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Basilio Justin however easily saved by the left post. After 60 minutes, Gaston Joanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Litoral EC - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Ulisses Munhoz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Leonardo Paulin was substituted for Joaquin Fonso. Basilio Justin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Vander in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Paulin to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Litoral EC - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Coutinho. Basilio Justin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute Ricardinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Litoral EC - CIMZ defense, Leonardo Paulin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz das Neves. The Litoral EC - CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luiz das Neves should have stopped the shot. Sílvio Luiz das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Shantala in the 94th minute of play. When Ricardinho Vander came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Litoral EC - CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardinho Vander couldn't finish the play. The Club Atlético Atlanta manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Litoral EC - CIMZ to win.
