Júnior Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Damasceno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Elias Damasceno took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Júnior Pires to make any attempt to save it. João Vítor Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Lobo Guará's Gustavo Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Vítor Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Célio Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Nunes in the 25th minute of play forced 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Albertinho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Nunes in the 36th minute of play forced 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Vítor Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Nunes in the 37th minute of the match. Amílton Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agostinho Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Ramalho hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Lobo Guará's Júnior Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Damasceno in the 65th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Gustavo Nunes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 卡納里尼奧 FC's Armandinho Pombal was substituted for Régis Vides. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when 卡納里尼奧 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position.
