Gurdurão's Giuseppe Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Rocha in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's César Alagoano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giuseppe Nóbrega. Giuseppe Nóbrega yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 22 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giuseppe Nóbrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Marcinho Alcântara's late challenge caught a Nova Iguaçu MZFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Marcinho Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, César Alagoano lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Giuseppe Nóbrega.
