In the 4thth minute of the game Liviu Sbârcea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iordache Tutuianu during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Florin Ghiurutan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Bâlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the game, Emanuel Ardeleanu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Robert Uncheşu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Uncheşu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Robert Uncheşu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Adam Rednic struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Florin Ghiurutan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Adam Rednic got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eugen Bobocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Florin Ghiurutan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugen Bobocea in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florin Ghiurutan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 35 minutes, Eugen Bobocea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DINAMO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Bobocea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Amuguroancei to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Adam Rednic made a precise shot to the right of Florin Ghiurutan. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 47 played minutes, DINAMO's Sever Colin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florin Ghiurutan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DINAMO reached it. After the first half DINAMO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Sbârcea to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's David Greblă got a free kick in the 51st minute. Costin Dichiseanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Hurmuzache having to interfere. With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Ghiurutan got control of the ball when Basarab Bâlea tried to sneak it across the goal line. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Niculiță in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gavril Niculiță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horea Hurmuzache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 61 played minutes Adam Rednic could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-2 into the left cross. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Dichiseanu in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Bobocea in the 66th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Florin Ghiurutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Bobocea came free, but Florin Ghiurutan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Basarab Bâlea came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the DINAMO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Bâlea couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia defense, Basarab Bâlea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florin Ghiurutan. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florin Ghiurutan should have stopped the shot. DINAMO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
