Toninho de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cássio Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Mandrak in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Gurdurão's Bruninho Novaes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bruninho Novaes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gurdurão protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bruninho Novaes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Gurdurão:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clube do Remo MZ:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Gurdurão defense, Elivélton Valladares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Amaral. The Gurdurão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Amaral should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Mandrak in the 59th minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Cássio Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ismael Mandrak notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Gurdurão's Cássio Amaral. Cássio Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Gurdurão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Amaral having to interfere. If Hortêncio de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Toninho de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Renan Cunha hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Ismael Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Amaral. Gurdurão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. There was no doubt that Clube do Remo MZ were the better team. Clube do Remo MZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
