Sverker Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Tidéksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Blue Warriors™'s goal looked a bit too open when Babbis Aggeliadis came free, but Giannis Konstantinou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Konstantinou came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis. But to his dismay, Babbis Aggeliadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Blue Warriors™'s Giannis Konstantinou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Aggeliadis in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Warriors™'s goalkeeper Giannis Konstantinou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute Babbis Aggeliadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Konstantinou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Babbis Aggeliadis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Blue Warriors™'s Giannis Konstantinou. Giannis Konstantinou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pat Rice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Fanström having to interfere. Babbis Aggeliadis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giannis Konstantinou having to make a save. A collision led to Blue Warriors™ getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Dantas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Babbis Aggeliadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanderlend's supporters rose to their feet, but Babbis Aggeliadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Konstantinou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Babbis Aggeliadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanderlend's supporters rose to their feet, but Babbis Aggeliadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Konstantinou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Fabio Cannata threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sanderlend's Mujaga Zaninović quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 47 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giannis Konstantinou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sanderlend's Przemyslaw Popowicz was substituted for Severin Begić. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Babbis Aggeliadis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giannis Konstantinou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Aggeliadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Sanderlend's Luo Jun Feng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Giannis Konstantinou in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sverker Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murat Zelenika, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Murat Zelenika kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sverker Fanström. That made the score 4-1 in the 79 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murat Zelenika in the 85th minute of play forced Sanderlend's goalkeeper Sverker Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jahija Selimotić kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Giannis Konstantinou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babbis Aggeliadis in the 87th minute of the match. Giannis Konstantinou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babbis Aggeliadis in the 96th minute of play. Blue Warriors™'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
