When Saturnino Romo got free in front of the goal in the 17th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dan Wennerqvist was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Lano in the 19th minute of play. The corner led Soroca F.C.'s Gustavo Tartalo to fire away a dangerous shot which Oliverio Kahn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Saturnino Romo might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Wennerqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Romo ran back to his position shaking his head. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Romo in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lano came free, but Oliverio Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Max Josef Justice. 35 minutes into the game, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Saturnino Romo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Wennerqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Oliverio Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Max Josef Justice hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrián Espadas to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Joel Carli in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Soroca F.C.'s Amador Venceslao. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting a goal against them. Saturnino Romo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Wennerqvist having to make a save. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Romo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Hernan Lano got a free kick in the 57th minute. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Adrián Espadas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Necula got free with Oliverio Kahn in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Zézinho Neiva got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Neiva. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Xacintu in the 74th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romulo Thomas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Soroca F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
