In the 2nd minute, Alvaro Eufrasio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Özgür Onur made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 7th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Orlo to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Bernardino Ospin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucio Ur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAN MARTIN F.C. reached it. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Potrero's Mustafa Barış Yorangil. But to his dismay, Mustafa Barış Yorangil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 21st minute Manuel Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Ur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Domingo Lucero hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Bernardino Ospin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Ospin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Alejandro Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Potrero the free kick. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when SAN MARTIN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, C. A. Potrero's Semih Kaya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Potrero reached it. Özgür Onur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. Mustafa Barış Yorangil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Roland to strike the kick off in the second half. Jair Busquets lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 65 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Jair Busquets. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jair Busquets didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 66th minute, when SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Rafael Presebal after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Lucio Ur in C. A. Potrero's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Simon Canor kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Mariano Orlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mariano Orlo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the C. A. Potrero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Orlo couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Mariano Orlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C. A. Potrero made a substitution. Mateusz Marajda replaced Mustafa Barış Yorangil. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mariano Orlo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Orlo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
