In the 31st minute Wellington de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fellipe Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Martínez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Barrenta SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustín Tastzian was the one to do the kick off. If Gerardo Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute of the match Barrenta SC got a corner. Arsenal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Agustín Tastzian ran over to the corner to take the kick. Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emiliano Martínez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Nariman Mansourian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Martínez, 0-3. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Genílson Leite replaced Urban Stenman. Agustín Tastzian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emiliano Martínez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Gonzales hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Agustín Tastzian in the 71st minute.
