CA Juventud Unida's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Modesto Cheche in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Günalp Talip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iron Maiden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Günalp Talip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Calvet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, CA Juventud Unida's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Robustiano Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rainer Marthaler took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazarópi Barros. Mazarópi Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robustiano Calvet made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Steve Harris sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Iyan in the 19th minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Mazarópi Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robustiano Calvet came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Iron Maiden FC's Günalp Talip. But to his dismay, Günalp Talip quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mazarópi Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Petrigai in the 32nd minute of play. Dave Murray in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robustiano Calvet, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mazarópi Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Petrigai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, CA Juventud Unida's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Robustiano Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rainer Marthaler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazarópi Barros having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Saverio Petrigai made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Iron Maiden FC's Mazarópi Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Saverio Petrigai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arın Biçim was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Honorio Torrent's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robustiano Calvet was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Günalp Talip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Calvet having to interfere. The CA Juventud Unida fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when CA Juventud Unida's Saverio Petrigai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mazarópi Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Petrigai, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Robustiano Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Stratton in the 91st minute of play. Rainer Marthaler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazarópi Barros having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CA Juventud Unida eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
