An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Ramón Verón in the 2nd minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Mazarópi Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Günalp Talip tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramiro Gabrio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Berserkers FC Ψ's Ramiro Gabrio got control of the ball when Dave Murray tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Iron Maiden FC defense, Juan-Ramón Verón kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazarópi Barros. The Iron Maiden FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazarópi Barros should have stopped the shot. Juan-Ramón Verón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazarópi Barros having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Iron Maiden FC's Nicko McBrain seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicko McBrain the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Iron Maiden FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicko McBrain had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 30th match minute, Iron Maiden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicko McBrain to maneuver through the defense. Juan-Ramón Verón took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazarópi Barros. Mazarópi Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 35 minutes Iron Maiden FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan-Ramón Verón who took care of the corner kick. Iosif Budulea was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Juan-Ramón Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mazarópi Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Blanco in the 39th minute of the match. Ramiro Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arın Biçim in the 41st minute of the match. Iosif Budulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arın Biçim to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan-Ramón Verón who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Mazarópi Barros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan-Ramón Verón got free with Mazarópi Barros in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iron Maiden FC's Mazarópi Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Iron Maiden FC from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Berserkers FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Ramiro Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berserkers FC Ψ's Rigoberto Aragones was substituted for Godofredo James. Iron Maiden FC's Dennis Stratton was substituted for Dave Murray. 72 minutes into the match, Berserkers FC Ψ's Juan Ignacio Circelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazarópi Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Juan Ignacio Circelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mazarópi Barros. Juan Ignacio Circelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Juan Ignacio Circelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute Juan Ignacio Circelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazarópi Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Ignacio Circelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazarópi Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Ignacio Circelli ran back to his position shaking his head.
