Jacobo Urdin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maarten Aelbrecht went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in La Candela FC's zone, Máximo Kirchner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Urdin came out of the goal and Máximo Kirchner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venancio Cristofol was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jacob Albuquerque showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Jacob Albuquerque dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Venancio Cristofol, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in La Candela FC's zone, Michal Stehno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Urdin came out of the goal and Michal Stehno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Urdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Okopny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob Albuquerque. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Michal Stehno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidad de Matanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Stehno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Urdin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liu Liang Gang hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. La Candela FC's Jacobo Urdin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Kirchner in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michal Stehno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Urdin made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Michal Stehno sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goalkeeper Jacobo Urdin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michal Stehno. After 80 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Robert Zemeckis. Venancio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Servando, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Yannick Bartz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unidad de Matanza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yannick Bartz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lotfi Ziadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the La Candela FC defense, Nestor Bâru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Urdin. The La Candela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Urdin should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Bâru in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Urdin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damian Servando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
