In the 4th minute, Seggiano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristinel Bungescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Gelu Tăzlăuanu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Antonio Di Gennaro to make any attempt to save it. 8 minutes into the game, Seggiano's Dave Berardini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigel Bobeica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gigel Bobeica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Robinson in the 13th minute of the match. Luca Mestecăneanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rasnita! Matei Boldișor had several of the Seggiano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Antonio Di Gennaro as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nichifor Nițescu hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match, Cristinel Bungescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Di Gennaro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goalkeeper Antonio Di Gennaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristinel Bungescu. After 46 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Nițescu. Gigel Bobeica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eraldo Giammaria's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Bruno Cinalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Robinson in the 62nd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Gigel Bobeica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Bobeica made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Eraldo Giammaria sent off a good shot on target. When Dave Berardini came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Seggiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Berardini couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Bungescu came free, but Antonio Di Gennaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Seggiano's Eraldo Giammaria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Bobeica. Gigel Bobeica yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Iordache Dobre hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rasnita's Cristinel Bungescu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Matei Boldișor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rasnita manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Seggiano to win.
