The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Videl Amaya put in a rough tackle. In the 4th minute, Videl Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Blomqvist came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Corozo Nevares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wetterqvist Boys BK the free kick. Corozo Nevares hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Nord came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Collado came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Wetterqvist Boys BK's Ragnar Nord. But to his dismay, Ragnar Nord quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zaquiel Boñar during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zaquiel Boñar to maneuver through the defense. Vinicio Collado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Kalfhage hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of Wetterqvist Boys BK booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Meruelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esbjörn Hellgren charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esbjörn Hellgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esbjörn Hellgren hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Zaquiel Boñar kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaquiel Boñar got free with Andreas Bergqvist in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Carredano in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andreas Bergqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Blomqvist to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Zaquiel Boñar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Bergqvist. Wetterqvist Boys BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaquiel Boñar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Wetterqvist Boys BK getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Orvar Biörnberg hit a great ball. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Blomqvist in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Blomqvist in the 79th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Vinicio Collado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Wetterqvist Boys BK's Lars Hedlund got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Esbjörn Hellgren hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes, Astillero del Guayas's Zuberoa Sanguino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andreas Bergqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Astillero del Guayas reached it. Ragnar Nord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ragnar Nord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
