The throw-in from Raphael Aregger in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MIT's Cornel Medeleanu. Nichifor Mara kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Bryan Rohner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eusebiu Siniştean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Andre Zurbuchen made a huge save. Andre Zurbuchen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Siniştean, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the MIT defense, Bryan Rohner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Cutean. The MIT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Cutean should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falko Reimann in the 41st minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Leonard Cutean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebiu Siniştean kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match.

Nichifor Mara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Andre Zurbuchen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Falko Reimann notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MIT's Leonard Cutean. Leonard Cutean was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, MIT's Marcel Pătrășconiu got a free kick in the 61st minute. MIT's Eusebiu Siniştean got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Kenan Vinciguerra replaced Michael Charpie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Foltea during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristi Foltea kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Bryan Rohner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonard Cutean, 0-4. Andre Zurbuchen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Siniştean in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Andre Zurbuchen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Mara in the 77th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Andre Zurbuchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eusebiu Siniştean came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebiu Siniştean couldn't finish the play. In the 86thth minute of the game Bryan Rohner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MIT's Leonard Cutean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonard Cutean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falko Reimann in the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Simon Sonevoga got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Espen Steelers played a much better game than MIT and deserved their victory. The MIT players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
