The supporters of DARAS booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vute Baliev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Couto in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jenipapo SC defense, Gonzo Ivanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Lopes. The Jenipapo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Lopes should have stopped the shot. In the 39th match minute, DARAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzo Ivanov to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Paolo Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Lopes having to interfere. After the first half DARAS were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cafu Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Paolo Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Lopes came out of the goal and Paolo Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonzo Ivanov took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaká Lopes. Kaká Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. DARAS's Zahari Kerekov got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kaká Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Rossi's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. If Svetoslav Hrulev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Gonzo Ivanov made a precise shot to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. 72 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Kaká Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Rossi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Jenipapo SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DARAS:s goal. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for DARAS. Gonzo Ivanov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kaká Lopes. 0-8. 91 minutes into the game, Gonzo Ivanov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaká Lopes. Gonzo Ivanov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Kaká Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonzo Ivanov kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Jenipapo SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DARAS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
