After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Zézinho Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Danone CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 minutes of play, Danone CC's Gustavo Alvarenga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Valladares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hortêncio Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hortêncio Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Hortêncio Maia got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 11 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Maia. In the 12thth minute of the game Gustavo Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Claudinho Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by William Paraíba. After a rather tough play, Danone CC's Zeca Meirelles got a free kick in the 19th minute. Claudinho Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Silva in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Marcinho Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Claudinho Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Danone CC. Gustavo Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Valladares having to interfere. After the first half Danone CC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Alvarenga in the 55th minute of play. Zézinho Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Claudinho Valladares made a huge save. Zézinho Silvas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Claudinho Valladares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Alvarenga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Valladares was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Claudinho Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Danone CC's Charles da Silva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinho Valladares. That made the score 0-2 after 72 minutes of play.
