The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Piearres to strike the kick off in the second half. When Luciano de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Zorro Negro's protests and gave Luciano de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. José Luis Heidemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, La Zorro Negro's Fabrício De León got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 94th minute of the match Fauna Utd got a corner. La Zorro Negro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 董文鹰 ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Unai Sócrates at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of La Zorro Negro. 3-0. La Zorro Negro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
