José Luis Heidemann made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Valer Văidianu sent off a good shot on target. After 11 played minutes La Zorro Negro got a freekick which was hit by Christian Sundström. José Luis Heidemann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjan Spanjer in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Piearres came free, but Yu Ang Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Yu Ang Chuan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as De tulpen SC's Valer Văidianu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Luis Heidemann. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, De tulpen SC's Hans Buskes got a free kick in the 40th minute. Yu Ang Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Salles in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Arjan Spanjer made a precise shot to the right of José Luis Heidemann. La Zorro Negro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Piearres to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the De tulpen SC defense, Hermelando Jaen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yu Ang Chuan. The De tulpen SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yu Ang Chuan should have stopped the shot. Rigoberto Piearres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Yu Ang Chuan made a huge save. De tulpen SC's Fredrik Alebeck was substituted for Arjan Spanjer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Bruno in the 90th minute of play forced De tulpen SC's goalkeeper Yu Ang Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Luis Heidemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Alebeck in the 91st minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
