Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Grigoris Kornaros was slow to take the kick. During this time tHe SOnS of rAGnar's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Leandro Desabato heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Châton in the 26th minute of play forced tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goalkeeper José Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner. Lei Feng Yan went to the cornerflag to take it. The free kick in the 28th minute by Daniel Owsiak was well hit, but to his irritation, it went to the left of the post instead of in the goal. A collision led to tHe SOnS of rAGnar getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Grigoris Kornaros hit a great ball. Renato Augusto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Sá having to make a save. Lucio Siekkötter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but José Sá made a huge save. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Owsiak in the 33rd minute of play. Aurelio Walme came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Alexis Alexandris. But to his dismay, Alexis Alexandris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tarcisio Mangueira got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Faustão Châton. Tarcisio Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Ulysses Matorin replaced Grigoris Kornaros. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Tarcisio Mangueira got a free kick in the 43rd minute. José Sá was a little too slow when Faustão Châton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Giardino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute Walter Giardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Walme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Renato Augusto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Sá was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After 67 minutes, Renato Augusto made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's José Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aurelio Walme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Möllgren in the 74th minute of play. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's José Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Alexandris got free with Aurelio Walme in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Walme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Giardino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonis Kardaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexis Alexandris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Aurelio Walme made a huge save. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of tHe SOnS of rAGnar for a fine match.
