Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nistor Maghiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Asselberghs in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Young Ostend United booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Tepes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Dudu Georgescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stanny Van Gorp. Stanny Van Gorp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Maghiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cédric Payen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Stanny Van Gorp made a huge save. After some careless play in the Minerul Baita -MM- defense, Jason Asselberghs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nistor Maghiar. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nistor Maghiar should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Minerul Baita -MM- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
