The corner led Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Tiberiu Socoriceanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Borys Witek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Østbye in the 13th minute of play forced Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's goalkeeper Radowit Zawada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Buccella in the 19th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Buccella came free, but Borys Witek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Saltnes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Emmanuel Schol hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Buccella in the 29th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Pankracy Dulka got a free kick in the 31st minute. Borys Witek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Buccella in the 33rd minute of play. Radowit Zawada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Østbye in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Christer Ribe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radowit Zawada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the game Emmanuel Schol made a throw-in which Christer Hustad played forward. 41 minutes into the match, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Østbye came free, but Radowit Zawada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Ciro Buccella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frode Tobiassen to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Østbye in the 51st minute of play forced Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's goalkeeper Radowit Zawada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Frode Tobiassen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Radowit Zawada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radowit Zawada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Remme in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Ciro Buccella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borys Witek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Radowit Zawada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Østbye in the 59th minute of play. Radowit Zawada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Østbye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Frode Tobiassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radowit Zawada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frode Tobiassen in the 69th minute of play forced Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's goalkeeper Radowit Zawada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Buccella got free with Borys Witek in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Radowit Zawada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Remme, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Brufoss IL's Kevin Strømsnes was substituted for Christer Hustad. Emmanuel Schol made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kevin Strømsnes immediately put the ball in play. Kent Remme took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radowit Zawada. Radowit Zawada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 89th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Schol to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes, Peđa Pedalada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, one of Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W. There was no doubt that Brufoss IL were the better team. Brufoss IL's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
