The audience was convinced that Jan Tõnuri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanny Van Gorp was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Jan Tõnuri sped through Young Ostend United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanny Van Gorp. 24 minutes into the game, Jan Tõnuri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Stanny Van Gorp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Tõnuri was the one to do the kick off.
