With a little luck, Hamburg Fighters's Gustaw Fafinski got control of the ball when Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Dinu Bocu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamburg Fighters's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinu Bocu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Wessel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dolf Schoonderwoerd's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustaw Fafinski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jan Wessel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Bocu in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Dinu Bocu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Wessel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes The Underdogs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gianluca Balla who took care of the corner kick. Brandon Rick was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Piearres Olalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaw Fafinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Wessel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Hamburg Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tjard Dudek to maneuver through the defense. Hamburg Fighters's Gustaw Fafinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piearres Olalla in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the The Underdogs defense, Dinu Bocu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Wessel. The The Underdogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Wessel should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dolf Schoonderwoerd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Gustaw Fafinski made a huge save. The corner led to The Underdogs's André Luiz Linares getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinu Bocu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Bocu in the 51st minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Hamburg Fighters's Gianluca Balla got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jan Wessel. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Bocu in the 64th minute of play. Jan Wessel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Bocu's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The Underdogs were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Hamburg Fighters's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iustin Hațegan took the corner. Gustaw Fafinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piearres Olalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piearres Olalla in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaw Fafinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaw Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 80th minute of play. Jan Wessel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Bocu in the 88th minute. Wieslaw Obuchowicz charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wieslaw Obuchowicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Hamburg Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Obuchowicz to maneuver through the defense. Riemer Fries's late challenge caught a Hamburg Fighters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Riemer Fries helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Riemer Fries hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The The Underdogs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hamburg Fighters were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
