IK Zenith's Nichifor Bâlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in The Underdogs's zone, Pelle Bollström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Wessel came out of the goal and Pelle Bollström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute IK Zenith were awarded a corner. Fabian Larsson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on IK Zenith's corner Fabian Larsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan Wessel quite easily take care of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, IK Zenith's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Nichifor Bâlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank de Boer kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Nichifor Bâlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piearres Olalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, IK Zenith's Karl-Michael Kjellberg got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd made a precise shot to the right of Nichifor Bâlea. IK Zenith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 28 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Arixo. After 29 played minutes IK Zenith got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Utter. Dolf Schoonderwoerd scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nichifor Bâlea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd made a precise shot to the right of Nichifor Bâlea. IK Zenith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Nichifor Bâlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piearres Olalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Dolf Schoonderwoerd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nichifor Bâlea having to make a save. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nichifor Bâlea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. Nichifor Bâlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 47th minute of the match. A collision led to IK Zenith getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Fabian Larsson hit a great ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Ahlbeck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nichifor Bâlea. Nichifor Bâlea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nichifor Bâlea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dolf Schoonderwoerd got free with Nichifor Bâlea in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Dolf Schoonderwoerd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nichifor Bâlea. IK Zenith's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dolf Schoonderwoerd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. When Dolf Schoonderwoerd came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the The Underdogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolf Schoonderwoerd couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes in the game Thomas Utter did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marcus Rolandsson. In the 67th minute, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when IK Zenith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Håning didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nichifor Bâlea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Jan Wessel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Ahlbeck in the 75th minute of the match. After 76 minutes of play, IK Zenith's Pelle Bollström made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Wessel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dolf Schoonderwoerd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nichifor Bâlea having to make a save. IK Zenith's Nichifor Bâlea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save IK Zenith from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichifor Bâlea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. IK Zenith's Nichifor Bâlea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save IK Zenith from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichifor Bâlea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nichifor Bâlea made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Emil Kyurpanov sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Piearres Olalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nichifor Bâlea was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Underdogs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
