Oakham were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after The Underdogs's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Asiz Rajah took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Asiz Rajah got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan Wessel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 11 played minutes, Oakham's Asiz Rajah shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan Wessel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oakham reached it. Bryan Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Ate Kloppenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Underdogs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakham the free kick. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Ate Kloppenburg got a free kick in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bryan Hui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute Mark Koh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Wessel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Oakham got a corner. The Underdogs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Asiz Rajah ran over to the corner to take the kick. Oakham's Bryan Hui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piearres Olalla in the 28th minute of play. Bryan Hui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dolf Schoonderwoerd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryan Hui was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Oakham:s Bryan Hui showed great skill when he stopped Piearres Olalla:s penalty. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Dolf Schoonderwoerd sped through Oakham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bryan Hui. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Piearres Olalla to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute of the match, Asiz Rajah tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan Wessel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bryan Hui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. Bryan Hui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 65th minute of the match. Wong Butcher hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The Underdogs made a substitution. Riemer Fries replaced Frank de Boer. After 67 played minutes Oakham got a freekick which was hit by Wong Butcher. The Underdogs's Ed Palsma managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daniz Hsi in the 76 minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, Oakham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Butcher to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Iustin Hațegan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bryan Hui skillfully saved the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Oakham's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Bryan Hui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryan Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
