Christoffel Portmans was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Carlos Santana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Santana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Paulo Renato Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Carlos Santana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christoffel Portmans. Carlos Santana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Qwinten Strupar got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ludwig Van der Borght. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Wirinckx in the 27th minute of play. Carlos Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Christoffel Portmans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Santana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Ahmet Demir got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludwig Van der Borght stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Qwinten Strupar in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo do Japi's Durvalino Caca-Rato. Ludwig Van der Borght hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Carlos Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Wirinckx in the 57th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Worteleers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ronaldo Giovanelli made a huge save. Christoffel Portmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Carlos Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffel Portmans was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 5-0 came in the 94th minute when Carlos Santana all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Christoffel Portmans. Galo do Japi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
