The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis-Sven Piater during the 2nd minute. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leopoldo Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Baumar Ontanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Item saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandung Tigers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hernán Diaz was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Anderlecht Huachipato's players had a chance to rest. Serbülent Baysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Bandung Tigers from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute Leopoldo Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mekki Item made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Maximino Astudillo sent off a good shot on target. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Zheng Yun in the 39th minute of play. Mekki Item made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 43rd minute. Maximino Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mekki Item made a huge save. After 47 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Hernán Diaz. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Peake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Zulkarnaen Mandaga took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Serbülent Baysan to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Bandung Tigers's Leopoldo Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serbülent Baysan. That made the score 0-3 after 65 minutes of play. In the 70th minute of the match Bandung Tigers got a corner. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wang Zheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bandung Tigers's Haji Gille to a score. 0-4 in the 71st minute. Serbülent Baysan made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Leopoldo Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. In the 79thth minute of the game Zulkarnaen Mandaga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Bandung Tigers were awarded a corner. Wang Zheng Yun went to the cornerflag to take it. Bandung Tigers's Xiao Jie De was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serbülent Baysan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Serbülent Baysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Bandung Tigers booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis-Sven Piater didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serbülent Baysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zulkarnaen Mandaga came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Bandung Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zulkarnaen Mandaga couldn't finish the play. After 93 minutes of play, Bandung Tigers's Fachri Puang made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serbülent Baysan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bandung Tigers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
