Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Olofsson in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincent Olofsson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulizes Sola, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaiver Ascarretazabal in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zarando Eguizabal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A collision led to Team Rocco getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vincent Olofsson hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Ulizes Sola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göran Unessons short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Nacho González to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bagui Lizana kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Göran Unesson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nacho González didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Rocco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Göran Unesson got free with Nacho González in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goal looked a bit too open when Xaiver Ascarretazabal came free, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulizes Sola, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 45 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Cevallos Provencio. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulizes Sola was the one to do the kick off. When Team Rocco's Vincent Olofsson in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Juan-Pablo Leyarte got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Lundström in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho González saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. Xaiver Ascarretazabal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson came out and tried to block the shot, but Xaiver Ascarretazabal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 96th minute.
