But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marti Hull couldn't finish the play. Salmiyah Power's Hemza Derrida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marti Hull in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Salmiyah Power's goal looked a bit too open when Ainar Ütt came free, but Hemza Derrida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ainar Ütt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hemza Derrida was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 22 minutes of play, Dune's Ainar Ütt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hemza Derrida was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Salmiyah Power's Arsenio Claus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Kacper Koperski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salmiyah Power's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kacper Koperski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hemza Derrida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Lausmäe in the 31st minute of play. Hemza Derrida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egert Oks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Lausmäe in the 34th minute of play forced Salmiyah Power's goalkeeper Hemza Derrida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helger Jaas was a little too slow when Lakhdar Guendouz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 47th minute of the match Salmiyah Power got a corner. Dune's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Bărnuțiu ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Dune made a substitution. Rolland Sallai replaced Adolf Lausmäe. A collision led to Dune getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aimar Toompere hit a great ball. Helger Jaas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Abdenouz, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute.
