ACF Fiorentina's Gabriel Gaufred was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rıza Vuralhan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 21st minute Hernán Leandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıza Vuralhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernán Leandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rıza Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hernán Leandro sped through Strömsbro IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rıza Vuralhan. In the 43rd minute, Hernán Leandro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rıza Vuralhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Bambas to strike the kick off in the second half. Hernán Leandro might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rıza Vuralhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernán Leandro ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's Hernán Leandro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rıza Vuralhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Argyris Papapetrou notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of ACF Fiorentina's Federico Kalinowski. In the 73rd minute of the match, Hernán Leandro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rıza Vuralhan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. ACF Fiorentina's Anselmo Luar was substituted for Martin Vellito. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Hildeberto Carvalho replaced Saturnino Michael. ACF Fiorentina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Gaufred in the 76th minute. Rıza Vuralhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 81st minute. If Igor Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ACF Fiorentina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
