Igor Furtado hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, ACF Fiorentina's Hernán Leandro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pontus Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 10th minute Witomir Pisarczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Kalinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Gerardo Lordi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ACF Fiorentina's Federico Kalinowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Hernán Leandro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pontus Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Hernán Leandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Nordström having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Federico Kalinowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witomir Pisarczyk. 33 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Anisie came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernán Leandro in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Igor Furtado made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ACF Fiorentina's Horia Anisie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 45th minute of play forced ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Federico Kalinowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Maximino Cabezon replaced Hernán Leandro. Igor Furtado hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Santa Margarita's Wendell Davids was substituted for Enzo Peruxu. Igor Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Patrick Oliver Bronco hit a great ball. Maximino Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Pontus Nordström made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Anselmo Luar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Klaus Mohammadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Margarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus Mohammadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Kalinowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the ACF Fiorentina defense, Mauro Icardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Kalinowski. The ACF Fiorentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Kalinowski should have stopped the shot. Anselmo Luar might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pontus Nordström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Luar ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximino Cabezon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
