After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Cantona made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Arne Botnen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Fiúza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Saga TF got a freekick which was hit by Trond Gilde. Joachim Forseth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Luna in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the game, Saga TF's Erik Cantona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Fiúza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saga TF fully deserved thier win.
