Tadeo Ederono started the match with the kick off. Jiang De struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Albino Inguma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio Viana. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Cilli in the 6th minute of play. Gremio Viana's attentive Albi Koka managed to snatch the ball when Jose Rosario made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. If Jiang De had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albino Inguma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang De in the 12th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Tadeo Ederono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Samuel Fiúza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gremio Viana's Albi Koka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paulino Eguerdi in the 26 minute of the game. Jiang De scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albino Inguma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Paunero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Eguerdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Jiang De shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Inguma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Fiúza made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Francesco Cilli sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Iureș in the 38th minute of play. The throw-in from Jose Rosario in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Albi Koka. Albino Inguma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jiang De went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jiang De stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gremio Viana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jose Rosario was slow to take the kick. During this time Paunero's players had a chance to rest. In the 54th minute, Francesco Cilli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes Jiang De rounded Paunero's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Paunero's Vinicio Palos was substituted for Cristian Peli. 63 minutes into the match, Tadeo Ederono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Fiúza. Gremio Viana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Ederono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Carlos Luna replaced Jiang De. Paunero's Albino Inguma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Paunero from getting a goal against them. Gremio Viana's Antonio Calisto was substituted for Tony Påk. Gremio Viana's Mohamed Ali Bomba was substituted for Severino Torcato. 74 minutes into the game, Paulino Eguerdi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mohamed Ali Bomba kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Carlos Luna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Albino Inguma made a huge save. 82 minutes into the match, Paunero's Francesco Cilli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Fiúza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristide Iureș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Antonio Calisto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gremio Viana were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Paunero's much stronger midfield.
