After 8 minutes Egg Chasers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joseph Schwarzfischer who took care of the corner kick. Jorrin Briones came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabien Barthez could save by the left post. In the 15th minute Luís Paulo da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joseph Schwarzfischer in the 16th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Ferenc Tököli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorrin Briones who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Fabien Barthez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Ferenc Tököli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Groom in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Jorrin Briones ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabien Barthez. Fabien Barthez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 33 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorrin Briones. Matthew Brookman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferenc Tököli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorrin Briones in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabien Barthez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferenc Tököli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Brookman, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes, Egg Chasers FC's Kenny Duckworth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ferenc Tököli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Egg Chasers FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorrin Briones got free with Fabien Barthez in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferenc Tököli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Groom in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorrin Briones. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matthew Brookman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Stonehouse in the 51st minute of play forced Rapsodas Red Devils FC's goalkeeper Ferenc Tököli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Jorrin Briones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Barthez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 67 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Salah came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
