In the 5th minute Florin Seremet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Mineiros Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Marcus de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mineiros Esporte Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mazinho Mendonça in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Caramarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus de Godoi. Mineiros Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiberiu Caramarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dorin Banu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Wallace Randall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Wallace Randall came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 27th minute of play forced Mineiros Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Marcus de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klas Harlén hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mineiros Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Marcus de Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcus de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin von Gyldenfeldt in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Robin von Gyldenfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorin Banu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Mineiros Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MIT were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiberiu Caramarin to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcus de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 52nd minute. Marcus de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 52nd minute of the match. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus de Godoi saved Mineiros Esporte Clube from getting behind. When Tiberiu Caramarin came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Caramarin couldn't finish the play. Mihăiţă Ilarie's late challenge caught a Mineiros Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Ilarie helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mineiros Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihăiţă Ilarie was slow to take the kick. During this time MIT's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Dorin Banu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. MIT made a substitution. David Tunander replaced Dorin Banu. Marcus de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 68th minute of the match. Marcus de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihăiţă Ilarie in the 70th minute. If Mihăiţă Ilarie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mineiros Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bruninho Seco hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Marcus de Godoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Bogdan Bucataru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. In the 89th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With an all-out effort, MIT's Marcus de Godoi threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Tunander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. MIT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bogdan Bucataru in the 94th minute. The corner led MIT's Bogdan Bucataru to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcus de Godoi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. MIT played a much better game than Mineiros Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Mineiros Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
