Cristo Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's Cristo Basajaun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurice Himschoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciriaco Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ožbalt Ajdič, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lun Majstorović in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurice Himschoot. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in NK FOLKROLA's zone, Cristo Basajaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurice Himschoot came out of the goal and Cristo Basajaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Roldanillo came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Ismael Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Macias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Čerina in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Ismael Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Ismael Roldanillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Macias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when NK FOLKROLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Pagomari didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cristo Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Himschoot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heigo Luiga was the one to do the kick off. Ožbalt Ajdič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Macias having to interfere. Ciriaco Macias made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Teodor Čerina sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Himschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Macias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lun Majstorović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Lun Majstorović came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Frederico hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Independiente from getting a goal against them.
