Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Robrecht Scheppers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 5th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robrecht Scheppers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Tomislav Mikalauskas threw the ball into play from the sideline. MIT's Mihăiţă Ilarie quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robrecht Scheppers saved zvc fizikboys from getting behind. After 10 minutes, Tiberiu Caramarin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. zvc fizikboys's Robrecht Scheppers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kobe De Mees in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Madgearu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The zvc fizikboys fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when zvc fizikboys's Kobe De Mees looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robrecht Scheppers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Jonas Bauweleers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the zvc fizikboys and the MIT players grew even worse after the yellow card. MIT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimeno Acevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Nicodim Orășan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Robrecht Scheppers made a huge save. Dorin Banu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Robrecht Scheppers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ludo Tieleman kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robrecht Scheppers. That made the score 3-2 after 45 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiberiu Caramarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robrecht Scheppers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Ludo Tieleman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. zvc fizikboys's Robrecht Scheppers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Banu in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Caramarin notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of zvc fizikboys's Robrecht Scheppers. Robrecht Scheppers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Marincean. zvc fizikboys made a substitution. Teo Vranckx replaced Diego Müller. Emanuel Marincean kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the zvc fizikboys defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robrecht Scheppers. The zvc fizikboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robrecht Scheppers should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 76th minute of play forced zvc fizikboys's goalkeeper Robrecht Scheppers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Caramarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robrecht Scheppers having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Tiberiu Caramarin managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Caramarin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robrecht Scheppers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiberiu Caramarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robrecht Scheppers having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, zvc fizikboys's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Robrecht Scheppers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Tunander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MIT's Aurel Buzea was substituted for Florin Seremet. 93 minutes into the match, Teo Vranckx dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Calistrat Madgearu, 5-3. MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the zvc fizikboys players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MIT.
