Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohieddine Ayari in the 5th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Jiang Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabien Barthez made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Moreno Martins sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the game, Mohieddine Ayari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CERRO PORTEÑO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egg Chasers FC the free kick. Mohieddine Ayari hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Joel Groom hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Damian Stonehouse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jiang Lei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fabien Barthez made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when 王树帆 sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lee Bannatyne during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Lee Bannatyne got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 王树帆 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Fabien Barthez made a huge save. Moreno Martins came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabien Barthez could save by the left post. Mohieddine Ayari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Matthew Brookman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Fabien Barthez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mohieddine Ayari went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 56 minutes of play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabien Barthez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Barone hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mohieddine Ayari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabien Barthez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Crouch got free with Jiang Lei in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Mohieddine Ayari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Barthez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Alex Barone got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Peter Crouch. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 94 minutes on the clock, Rex Wall commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Rex Wall hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans cheered their team off the field, for while Egg Chasers FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
