The audience was convinced that Alo Ülipikk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Paranaense was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Kajar Püss scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kajar Püss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
