MIT's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Mendonça in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin von Gyldenfeldt in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Madgearu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wallace Randall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Robin von Gyldenfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match, Nicodim Orășan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcus de Godoi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin von Gyldenfeldt in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiberiu Caramarin to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus de Godoi saved Mineiros Esporte Clube from getting behind. After 78 minutes of play, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! MIT's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. The supporters of MIT booed when Mineiros Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artem Savin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiberiu Caramarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Caramarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus de Godoi having to make a save. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. In the 91st minute of the match, Wallace Randall tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Calistrat Madgearu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
