The Mineiros Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus de Godoi should have stopped the shot. Robin von Gyldenfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Artem Savin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Mineiros Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Artem Savin. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Mendonça in the 35th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Robin von Gyldenfeldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Barthez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 40th minute, Reynaldo Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin von Gyldenfeldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin von Gyldenfeldt in the 54th minute of play. Mazinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Fabien Barthez made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Mineiros Esporte Clube's Robin von Gyldenfeldt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Marcus de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Groom in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Joel Groom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Mendonça's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Fabien Barthez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fabien Barthez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wallace Randall's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Marcus de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Crouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Brookman in the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez got control of the ball when Wallace Randall tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mineiros Esporte Clube's Marcus de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Groom in the 89th minute of play. The Mineiros Esporte Clube players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Egg Chasers FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
