The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rubens da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branden Shelton having to interfere. Branden Shelton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens da Silveira in the 5th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rubens da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branden Shelton was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Marsel Spaha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute of the match Aleksander Jazwiec sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Branden Shelton skillfully saved the ball. In the 9th minute Rubens da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branden Shelton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Paco Cano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. K.F TIRANA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vestegnens Betonhelte the free kick. The supporters of Vestegnens Betonhelte booed when K.F TIRANA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Cano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Karsten Randholt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of K.F TIRANA's Branden Shelton. Branden Shelton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19 minutes of play, Vestegnens Betonhelte's Efren Reina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Branden Shelton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jesús Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kozma Poci in the 23rd minute of the match. Branden Shelton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens da Silveira in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Vestegnens Betonhelte's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo De Luca came free, but Jesús Incendio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vestegnens Betonhelte getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Reiner Benøe hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Karsten Randholt made a precise shot to the right of Branden Shelton. K.F TIRANA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Branden Shelton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Slawomir Dankowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branden Shelton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by K.F TIRANA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aleksander Jazwiec was slow to take the kick. During this time Vestegnens Betonhelte's players had a chance to rest. Vestegnens Betonhelte's Rubens da Silveira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Branden Shelton in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 44 minutes, Paco Cano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. K.F TIRANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paco Cano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Karsten Randholt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branden Shelton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, K.F TIRANA's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens da Silveira came free, but Branden Shelton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paco Cano in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesús Incendio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubens da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branden Shelton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match Vestegnens Betonhelte got a corner. K.F TIRANA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aleksander Jazwiec ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vestegnens Betonhelte's Aleksander Jazwiec to fire away a dangerous shot which Branden Shelton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With his leg Branden Shelton managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Vestegnens Betonhelte's Rubens da Silveira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. K.F TIRANA's Branden Shelton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save K.F TIRANA from getting a goal against them. Branden Shelton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubens da Silveira's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Reiner Benøe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branden Shelton. K.F TIRANA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reiner Benøe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubens da Silveira in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Branden Shelton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jesús Incendio came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by K.F TIRANA's Kozma Poci. But to his dismay, Kozma Poci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Vestegnens Betonhelte made a substitution. Philip Skjold replaced Karsten Randholt. If Rubens da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 played minutes K.F TIRANA got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo De Luca. Vegard Helmersen hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Aleksander Jazwiec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vestegnens Betonhelte's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksander Jazwiec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branden Shelton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
